Paradigm Shift

I’m changing fixed positions
On opinions and deductions
From now on breathing other airs
I have a stack of fresh instructions

Letting go of once held handlebars
Veering off from straight-line steering
Riding curves requiring nerves
Whilst watching stances disappearing

Gamblers wait to turn their cards
Consider risk-maintaining stakes
Ask what can we afford to lose
Whilst still expecting lucky breaks

Beachy Head

Photo by Jonathan Cosens Photography on Unsplash

A pebble on its holiday

Came by to get a tan

Relaxing in the solar rays

Near a Hull built caravan

Nose jobs notwithstanding

Feeling generally out of shape

Moulded by a misspent life

In and out of every scrape

The Point

Photo by Cristian Palmer on Unsplash

The point is always where it is

In the future and the past

Not arriving nor surviving

Not second place - Not first nor last

active in a spot-on place

At the point of no return

Who knows how the point was made

Neither grave nor grim nor stern

The point is sometimes never got

Don't pay that any mind

Although concealed until revealed

Is not so hard to find
