Teatime turned up on the dot
We popped inside the café rooms
Quite a bustling buzz embrace
Where much city life consumes
A perfect place for planning scrapes
To be unnoticed by the crowd
Between the talking and the drinking
The noise became our shroud
We hatched a ruse to air our views
Then ordered two more teas
Writing modes in cryptic codes
Not shooting in the breeze
The café atmosphere was heating up
As we toiled and boiled our plan
To bring about a new way out
This way our stratagems began
Our plan though neat was incomplete
Loose ends like flailing thread
Notebooks crammed with good intentions
Where hopes of secret missions spread
The café now without its camouflage
As punters leave to catch a bus
Spending pennies in a tetchy queue
Avoiding focus on just us
Next week's venue will be elsewhere
On a speeding busy train
To be contd...
