| A peoples champion |
Praise goes to the intrepid champion
who fought every step of the way
who never gave up his mighty resolve
and defeated his rival dismay
He conquered the enemy inside
and hammered the voice of dissent
ignoring the slurs from the media cur’s
trouncing the spiteful his greatest event
So light up a beacon for all to enjoy
his war so much more than a flurry
I may not be Scottish yet proud of this boy
the invincible man Andy Murray
