The ‘can’ is justly wondrous 
preserving food and drink
a perfect storage hoarding
Yet we rarely stop to think

Unlike packet packaging
Cans have made it through
making space and saving waste
since Seventeen Seventy Two

We take the can for granted
such a useful pot or pan
eating drinking carrying
most widely used the 'can'
