Early morning cup of tea
Drains away the night before
Bringing good sense to the senses
Let the teapot pour some more
Having left behind the bedclothes
Hobbled off toward the kettle
Warmed the teapot fervently
Then let the tea leaves settle
It is a golden breakfast-tasting
To regulate and irrigate
For surely nothing else will do
One should never underate
