They say the price of petrol's steep
But now the road tax cuts so deep
The buyers of brawny motors new
Must pay a toll, that’s sadly true

For engines big that roar and vroom
The government sets a costly tune
A hefty tax, a steep first year
To nudge us all to greener gear

No joy for trucks that puff and spew
Or flashier wheels for me and you
The fund must flow, the roads be paved
But at what cost—our wallets shaved

So here’s the bandit’s rhyming plea
Drive clean, drive smart, or pay the fee
But oh, this rhyme before its end
I’ll miss my car, my petrol friend
