Restaurant Regression



A restaurant not far from here
we’ve tried out once or twice
the food was less than average
and the service less than nice


The menu was a work of art
most ostentatious and pretentious
we couldn’t understand a word
as with the tariff quite contentious


When it comes to gauging value
it’s the detail which counts most
poor esteem and product quality
will make a loser of the host


A café lacking love and warmth
will struggle hard to be forgiven
a displeased guest will others tell
loss of standing downward driven
