Eat Your Words

I saw a question running by

As it headed off at speed

Desperate to find an ear

Or other gateways to its need

I could only look and guess at it

Easy open or tight shut

How many might misread it

Or wrench answers from their gut

Was the question optimistic

Giving ideas time to voice

Were its objects full of purpose
Or not so palpable a choice

Rapid questions may lack patience

When arriving far too fast

Take my advice and think it through

Or hasty words your cold repast
