On The Lookout

I listen to the falling rain
Unpredictable erratic
My radio is tuning out
A kind of autocratic static

The state of things are doubtful
 My seams no longer seem
All my edges looking borderline
Raindrops threatening to teem

Way out signs are hard to see
Entrances are blocked
No turning back despondently
Where opportunity once knocked
