Who will I turn to

When the wheel rests

Will there be time

Who knows?

What is the meaning of life?    Who am I really?    Do I have a special Purpose?

Most of us will have asked the above as with most of humanity. I have written some rhymes around that subject and have included them below.

Betrayed by Honour

Her eyes were once magnetic

To capture all your love

Who held you in such high esteem

Who then grew up to live above

Who announced with joy a special choice

Then suffered angry family rage

Discovered love could be conditional

Passions chained to a bygone age

Who with misplaced trust betrayed

Now stood among her kindred lone

Unheeded pleas for simple mercy 

Silenced by a shameful stone

Epistemaphobia 

Knowledge is a given gained

you either use it or you don’t

many will develop it

so many more just won't

For those who feel it's worthless

a university of lies

are blighted by extremity

unable to apprise

The scar of technophobia

A corruption of the mind

irrespective of vast evidence

forced to languish in a bind

Grieve for all those shuttered minds

in a fundamental one-way street

petrified by dogma’s bigotry

forever lost in low retreat

Do You Know?

Oh that, well yes I know

How do I know?

I heard it from those who know

Up until then, I didn’t know

What do you think you know?

Only some of what I need to know

What do you know for sure you know?

That when I am on my own I know

Reading stuff I need not know

Then reading stuff I need to know

Soon I learnt to slowly know

No story taught me how to know

Though reading is the way I know
