Progression by reduction
Smothering hope and fairness
Exploits illicit deconstruction
Shutting down and shutting out
Opinions, views, and stances
To pay no mind to new ideas
That could expand one’s chances
To create a weakened people
With undernourished notions
Circumventing real potential
Promoting intellect demotions
When liberty has lost its way
Independence is encumbered
Invoking short-term nastiness
imposing ‘better lives’ dismembered
