I Sight

Eyeballs waiting in the sand
Not near enough the sea
Soon the sun will set the scene
Where there’s nothing left to see

Eyeballs hunker down below
It will be hours before again
Unless of course the heavy rain
Allows the river gush to gain

Eyeballs note the changes made
Every sinew rigid taut
Pulled along the rapid channel caught
By built in lessons never taught
