Promises are trending
More than words can say
Just in case we’re daft enough
And take in their overplay
For the betterment of everyone
They have solutions for the snags
Suddenly a blinding flash
A ‘Never-Never’ gobshite brags
Pleading perfect answers
That any fool can see
At a stroke that crafty bloke
Can tell a fable happily
Then later in the sorry aftermath
As the chaos fallout follows
The phantom presence disappears
Leaving empty promise hollows
