I’ve made myself a benchmark
To underline and underscore
Guiding lights putting wrongs to right
Bringing all my best to fore

Things that set my scenery
Of written words and meanings
Not necessarily set in stone
Or confuse my reader’s gleanings

All my routines I can practice
Relating neatly to my style
And stay on course to reinforce
By not missing by a mile
