Another day of shrouded days
When thrive all but expired
Time out we took uneasily
Those days-off least desired
Cancellation of togetherness
Locked down and boarded up
People dared the distant air
No café corner seat no cup
Can’t spend cash it just won’t wash
Waging war against the change
Dashing hopes and expectations
Too indiscreet to rearrange
