 Getting there was slower than arriving Where the distance faded gleefully away A day alive without the heavy heart Emerged with stacks of everything to say Electric echoes crackled starkly in the air Fanfares burst from somewhere deep inside All around the colours spun and spattered In a light so bright it could have been worldwide Returning writes a story for the fireside Telling tales of journeys weirdly undertaken For now, arriving turns the wheel to other days Healing all the scars of broken hearts forsaken |
