The United Turnips

We voted on Europe
In or Out
A subject
That most of us
Knew little about
Foreigners blamed
For bringing us down
A top ten rich nation
Once owned by a crown
Some idiot bellowed
“Let’s make our own laws”
Which none of us do
Outside parliaments doors
The vote they say
A nation has spoken
Yet millions abstained
And now Britain's a token
Out of possession
Free falling we flee
Nobody told us
How bad it might be
Don’t worry about Europe
I’m sure they’ll do fine
On a plate all the good things
That was once yours and mine

When seeking good health
one should always ask
for a second opinion.
