Much Heeded Learned Enid

For improvements in her prowess
She had enrolled at Wherewit Hall
A quiet early morning place
Which hailed the start of autumn fall

The lecture rooms implicitly
Provided many sights to see
In multitudes of languages
Explaining nothing good is free

She studied hard for high achievement
Her new ideas spread far afield
Avid readers famous leaders
Found her points of view appealed

Years passed by at breakneck speed
Her recognition in high places
Awarded lauded Nobel prizes
Wore with pride her lady laces

At her pinnacle when interviewed
How best to sum up every year
To put a finer point on it
You get to wear your favourite gear
