It’s just not on that poor old John
Is denied his lottery prize
To then find out his winnings nowt
Delight scratched out of tearful eyes
He paid up front to lottery punt
It seemed a one-way honest deal
To then be told quite baldly bold
A chance your scratch card is surreal
It seems the press had made a mess
His winning ticket was a fake
His victory scratch a misprint batch
A plate of crumbs no sign of cake
