gave me a Ropey idea: In support of ridding our language of tired Clichés
a level playing field . in this day and age . to all intents and purposes . when all’s said and done . in the final analysis.
. come full circle . par for the course . think outside the box .avoid someone or something like the plague . in the current climate
. mass exodus .at this moment in time . the path of least resistance . a baptism of fire .in any way, shape, or form . fit for purpose
Here I am back on
track
fit for purpose rhyme
to all intents and purposes
at this moment here in time
The fact of the
matter surely is
they are few and far between
yet in any way, shape, or form
they seem to sum up where I’ve been
My words have come
full circle
as when all’s said and done
I take the path of least resistance
as though mass exodus was fun
So in the current
climate
as I think outside the box
avoiding something’s like the plague
I must have caught the verbal pox
I find a level
playing field
par for the course and me
in this day and age of limitations
Cliché may be the death of me
Then in the final
analysis
trying not to be contrary
I’ll find much
more variety
inside my Oxford Dictionary
Never mind I’m
learning fast
it’s my baptism of fire
at the end of the day I had my say
and took it to the wire
Blue sky thinking there Ropey! We were on cloud nine reading this one.Great work. Nobby
