Mustn’t Grumble

Dear Sir I write this letter
To advise of my concern
Uncommonly nit-picking
My usual way more taciturn

To express my disappointment
I promise to be brief
And clearly state my wretchedness
In sure pursuit of my relief

It is not for me to quote the law
Quite enough to know my rights
So between us both prompt settlement
Will steer us free of sleepless nights

The cheque I sent you please refund
As I've returned those less than goods
A small reward for disenchantment
Restores my faith in brotherhood
