Just What I Was Thinking

I do not mind my inner mind
During thoughtful exploration
It visits when my boundary
Contains a lack of innovation

I’d like to be more friendly
With my source of self expression
Though popping by is out of bounds
A one-way street of no concession

At times I might creep up on me
Like stealing glances at the store
A gross misuse of time and space
With rootless maps to nowhere’s door

In truth my search subconsciously
Is found in method’s quiet light
A portal through my open mind
Struck by flashes that incite

"Where do ideas come from? I believe they are the results of inputs to the subconscious which quietly makes sense of things we often disregard."
